In this Community we know how important your privacy is to you . On the TGHelpLine WEB Site no information or tracking information is collected, kept or sold. No Information for any purpose, other than for sharing meeting transcripts with our users (see the meetings policy below). will be turned over to any other Party. Cookie information is not kept or stored.
Registrations for chat are confidential. Your email will never be shared. No email will ever be sent from this site unless you email or notify us first, so if you are on a shared computer you don't have to worry about receiving unsolicited email. Your privacy is respected here as it should be.
The chat room produces daily transcripts which are read on a weekly basis. Private messages can be seen by management. So plan your conversations accordingly. This is to protect our teens from sexual predators and other nasty things online. Only Stargirl and Miranda get to read these transcripts. Contents are confidential.
Private conversations are private especially between Moderators and users unless they violate other policies as in the case of Private message abuse. Transcripts in chat are only read by Stargirl and Miranda. This includes Private Conversations. However, even we will keep your confidence.
Our chat room is also an online technical support hotline, training ground for future chatroom administrators, and the online rendition of the now discontinued TGHelpLine podcast, this means that we will be taking questions about all kinds of TG issues therefore if we decide to post your QUESTION AND THE CORISPONDING ANSWER on the website, we will NOT post your name or IP address. Supervisors are there to back up the moderators in the event of a crisis or chaos in the room. They often ghost in the background and are invisible to the user. They cannot read your private messages. They appear when needed.
MEETING POLICY:
From time to time we may play host or hostess to an online meeting and at our option make the transcript of that meeting available for public access through our website, UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCE WILL YOUR IP ADDRESS BE SHOWN IN THE TRANSCRIPT! This means that we will strip out all IPs from the transcript BEFORE POSTING IT! These posted transcripts are for MEETINGS ONLY such as the occasional teen meeting that we are planning to hold on a weekly basis soon, or a live question and answer session with the tech crew. If you want to know if you have joined a live meeting who's transcripts will be posted, when you login to chat if a meeting is in progress or about to start you will be notified as part of your login messages for example you will see "welcome to TGHelpLIne Chat! we are in a live meeting and the transcripts will be availible at the following URL at least 20 minutes after the meeting is over, if you do not wish to be a part of this meeting, either logout and try again in a few minutes or click on rooms list and then go to another room. The transcript will be availible at [http://www.tghelplineshow.bravehost.com/chat/meetings/[thedate-topic-here].htm" NOTE: MEETING TRANSCRIPTS ARE ONLY STORED FOR UP TO SEVEN (7) DAY(S) AFTER THE MEETING IS FINISHED, AFTER WHICH TIME THE TRANSCRIPT WILL BE REMOVED AND ARCHIVED. for meetings who's transcript will not be availible for public access through our website you will be notified as part of your login messages like for example "Welcome to TGHelpLIne Chat, we are in a live meeting, sorry but transcripts WILL NOT be availible for public access for this meeting. If you do not wish to participate in this meeting then either logout and try accessing chat later, or click on rooms list and then go to another room"
CHATROOM ADMINISTRATION CLASS POLICY:
TGHelpLine chat is also a training ground for future chatroom administrators, Miranda will invite some if not all of her students to help administer the chatroom from time to time, these students are NOT FULL ADMINS, they are being trained and you can tell that the admin is a student admin if you look at the admin's name you will see for example miranda-RMIT, the RMIT IS short for Room Moderator In Training. These mods will have access to the transcripts but the access will be in a controlled environment and your personal information will not be discussed as part of the class. If you get gagged, kicked or banned by ANY ADMIN, make sure to e-mail miranda to see if it was a student admin that kicked gagged or banned you. Because of the fact that these are student admins we may ask from time to time that you help us by letting a student mod excercise their rights to gag kick or ban on you, we will ALWAYS ASK before giveing you the boot or gagging you for class. the ban policy is for a mod to talk, gag, talk, kick, talk, gag, talk, ban, if a student or miranda just gaggs kicks or bans you without warning or does not follow these policies this is to show the right and wrong way to gag kick or ban.
